About my research:
My research is focused on leveraging modern machine learning techniques to solve business operations and management science related problems. Currently, I am working with the Charlotte Mecklenburg County EMS Agency to develop sophisticated models for predicting emergency medical services (ambulance) demand.
My advice to students:
Get involved, connect, and network with your peers. Whether in the classroom, at your job, or as a member of a student organization, building your professional network and social capital will greatly enrich your career.
What I enjoy most about teaching:
I most enjoy the opportunity to connect with students and share my professional experiences. My ultimate goal is to inspire students and cultivate a meaningful and productive learning environment.
About me:
I am a professional musician, currently I play bass guitar in a Chicago tribute band. I also enjoy carpentry, mechancial/automotive, and outdoor projects—really any excuse to work in the garage.
