Our M.S. in Management program offers excellent value In-state tuition for this program is up to $31,000 less than other M.S. in Management programs offered at various colleges in the state. For out-of-state students, the UNC Charlotte program is up to $14,000 less than similar degrees at other North Carolina universities.

MSM Program Tuition Assistance

The Belk College of Business offers a limited number of program-based funding opportunities.

  • Those who apply before the Priority Deadline are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.
  • Those who wish to be considered for graduate assistantships should check the appropriate box in their application indicating their interest and apply before the Priority Deadline.
  • Please note that funding opportunities are highly competitive, so it is uncommon for programs to offer them to students who apply after the Priority Deadline.

University scholarship opportunities may be found in NinerScholars Portal and additional on-campus assistantships and other on-campus work may be found in Hire-A-Niner. The Graduate School also maintains a repository of information on funding.

Admissions

All applicants seeking admission to the M.S. in Management program must fulfill the University’s general requirements for graduate admission at the Master’s level.  Additional requirements for admission into the program include:

  • Completed online application
    • Statement of purpose (essay)
    • One letter of recommendation from people familiar with your academic or professional qualifications
    • Unofficial transcript(s) of all academic work attempted beyond high school (Official transcripts will be required upon admission to the program)
    • Resume 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • An overall grade point average of at least 3.0 on the applicant’s previous work beyond high school
  • College math course earning a grade of B or above prior to enrolling in the program.

International Admissions

In addition to all of the requirements listed above, students must submit an official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score. 

  • TOEFL: Minimum score of 83 internet-based is required 
  • IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5 is required.  
  • Duolingo: Minimum overall score required is 115 

International applicants should refer to the International Admissions website for deadlines and additional admissions information. Non-native speakers of English, may, at the discretion of either the Graduate School or the Program Committee, be required to enroll in English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at the English Language Training Institute.

Application Deadlines

The M.S. in Management program begins in July of each year (Second Summer session). Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis.
